VxDx started in mid-March 2006. At the time I (Gag - drums, guitar, vocals; no bass back then) was quite frustrated with the direction my main band Pesticides was taking, as I was longing to do really extreme music but Pesticide's death metal had a lot of melodic elements to it besides the brutality. So when we bought a 4-track recorder to do some Pesticides demo recordings the idea to create a one-man-band as side project for me to explore more extreme stuff on my own was born. I wrote 10 first songs and recorded a demo CD-R called "Severe Head Trauma" in late April. I sold and traded over 100 copies of this recording in total and got to know a lot of new people, labels and bands through it, which was pretty cool.
In December 2006 and January 2007 I recorded a total of 40 tracks which were
released on 4 releases in 2007: "Festering Carcass covered with Rot" MCD
(July), Extreme Collection VII (Extreme Brutal Death 17 magazine
sampler, July), 10-way floppy disk split (July-August), "6-way Sin
Decomposition" split CD (August), plus on a split CD-R with Insomnia
Isterica that came out in March 2008, containing the remaining tracks. Amongst the 40 tracks were the 10 songs from the demo CD-R again as well, plus 30 new songs, one of them being a cover of the traditional Christmas song "Joy to the World" in a heavily adapted version. Especially the "6-way Sin Decomposition" split CD is a very special release for me, as it is the only pro CD release so far to feature my music, and it was awesome to get to know Chris from Vomitorial Corpulence and have him on the CD with us (plus, it would never have worked out as it did without him).
I wrote more material following that and there was another larger recording session in September and October 2007 for
some more releases: A 3-way split CD-R with xBarneyx & Whorifik
(released in November), "Infesting the Earth 4" compilation (should have been released in
2008 but never happened because the "label" was a complete rip-off and stole a lot of money from all the bands involved - the
songs later got released on a 15-way split CD-R on En La Mala Records instead) and a
pro split CD-R with Musikantenstadl Massaker ("Enough is enough..." - released in October 2008). This last-mentioned release was originally intended to be a 7" split EP and I wanted to pay tribute to my favorite old school grindcore bands whose 7" EPs I love so much, so for that reason I decided to record grindcore songs for this instead of goregrind and this thus became the first non-gore VxDx release and the first to have actual lyrics.
In 2008 I took a break with writing and recording new stuff, mainly because I had a lack of inspiration and just couldn't come up with new riffs.
In early 2009 I got ideas again and I recorded a new song in March, which was released on the VxDx compilation CD-R "Excavation of Rarities" (now for the first time with bass). In August I started the recordings for a new pro split CD-R with No One Gets Out Alive (finally released in June 2010), containing mostly grindcore material and a bit of goregrind. Since its release-date the band was RIP due to a lack of time to practice the instruments properly, write and record, as my university studies were becoming more and more demanding. Therefore, my focus shifted to other projects rather based on fun and improvisation.
More or less 10 years later plans were made to re-release all old VxDx material on a discography double CD-R. These plans even became quite concrete with the label involved already, however unfortunately some things happened and the whole thing was cancelled. However, I already released this ("The Final Victory Over Satan") in digital format via bandcamp around Easter 2020, so there's that at least, even if no physical release was done officially. I just made a couple of copies (6, to be precise) by myself in 2021 or so, but no actual physical release happened so far.
Almost exactly 15 years after ending VxDx, I finally decided to bring VxDx back to life in May 2025, after considering the idea a few times already, and started writing new songs for the band. The revived VxDx will be a combination of both goregrind and grindcore, plus potentially some different stuff beyond the boundaries of these genres. Stay tuned for updates and new releases!

About the gore in the early VxDx material:
All the old VxDx songs until the split w/ Musikantenstadl Massaker don't have lyrics, but the songtitles speak against Satan/evil, perversions, porn, lust, fornication, sin, rape etc...
Everything is meant in a symbolic way, including artwork and
songtitles. The demo cover with the split head stands for the death of
Satan, for example. Jesus defeated him when he died on the cross to free
us from our sins. (Note: At the time of doing this demo I thought it was a head... but today I know it's actually a foot. Oops :-P)
The songtitles are mostly violence against different kinds of perversions and sin; I believe God will destroy them all one day. Many are symbolic like the artwork, describing something in a quite unusual way. Some include a bit of macabre or sarcastic humor also. Detailed songtitle explanations for the 40 tracks of the Dec '06 / Jan '07 session can also be found on this page.
NOTE: This stuff was meant against SIN, but NEVER against PEOPLE!! That is a huge difference! I respect other opinions, even if I don't agree with them! I am a Christian and live my life according to my belief, but I won't force anyone to convert, it's up to you alone if you want to believe in God/Jesus or not.
